To prevent clogs and uneven spreads, the oscillating spider agitation system utilizes 3 fingers to keep the material in the hopper moving through the drop holes consistently without clumping. A steel rod is used as the linkage for the shut-off function, giving a smooth, solid, on/off to further assist in creating a consistent flow of material through the hopper.
