• Hand-Screened Consistent Quality: Our fine bark has been hand-screened to ensure uniform quality and contains no added dyes. Please note that the white spots on some pine bark pieces are dried tree resin. This is a natural occurrence and does not affect the quality of the pine bark.
• Open Texture For Drainage & Airflow: The open texture of pine bark helps improve drainage and root airflow while reducing the dense, compact conditions that can develop as older orchid media breaks down. With a 1/4"–1.5" bark size, the pieces are larger than fine soil particles, helping create small air gaps so water can move through the mix more easily. For more moisture retention, blend with moss or other potting materials as needed.
• Versatile Base For A Custom Mix: Like orchid fir bark, our pine bark for plants is a versatile option. You can use the orchid bark directly or blend it with moss, coco fiber, charcoal, perlite or other orchid potting materials. Before use, rinse or briefly soak the bark as needed, then allow excess water to drain. Use it alone or blend it with your preferred orchid potting materials. Available in 2 QT, 8 QT and 16 QT for small repotting projects or bulk custom mix needs
• Works Great For Multiple Plants: This orchid potting bark is ideal for Phalaenopsis, Cattleya, Dendrobium and other epiphytic orchids.
